IBM to acquire fraud hit Satyam?

Hyderabad, Mar 5: Reports in a business daily suggest that the IBM one among the global IT giants is the front-runner to acquire fraud hit Satyam Computers. Sources in IBM says that the company is in discussion with Satyam's government-nominated board and had expressed the desire to acquire a major stake in Satyam.

Ironically Satyam has named IBM as one of its key competitors in a filing to the New York Stock Exchange. Other prominent bidders in race to acquire Satyam are Larsen & Toubro (L&T) which own 12 pc in the company and Spice Group owned by BK Modi.
