Third 'Narnia' film to release in 2010

Washington, Mar 3: Twentieth Century Fox and Walden Media will release "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader" on December 10, 2010.

Fox had recently partnered with Walden on the 'Narnia' film series after Disney parted ways due to budgetary considerations and other logistics, reports Variety.

The move was said to be line with the disappointing worldwide collections for the second 'Narnia' pic, 'Prince Caspian', which grossed 419 million dollars worldwide, as compared to 745 million dollars for the first 'Narnia' pic, 'The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe', in 2005.

The film will star Prince Caspian lead Ben Barnes.
