Two killed in Manipur in separate incidents
Imphal, Mar 1 (ANI): Two men hailing from Bihar were shot dead by unidentified gunmen here on Saturday.
A barber was first shot dead inside his saloon by an unidentified gunman.
In another incident, a sugarcane juice seller was gunned down by unidentified gunmen.
The deceased were identified as Suresh Thakur and Raj Kumar Chowdhury.
An eyewitness said that she saw a man in white shirt firing at the juice seller.
"Some persons came by an auto. One person was wearing a white shirt. He kept a gun inside his shirt. He shot this person and ran away," said Premlata Thokchom, a local.
Fifteen non-local labourers were shot dead by gunmen at Hayel Hangoon and other areas of the valley on March 17 and 18 last year. Another four non-local labourers were also mowed down in the different areas of Imphal East and Imphal West districts on June 24 last year. (ANI)
