Priyanka, Rahul Gandhi to visit Amethi on March 3

Amethi, Mar 1 (ANI): Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, the daughter of Indian National Congress President Sonia Gandhi, and her brother, AICC General Secretary Rahul Gandhi will visit Amethi in Uttar Pradesh on March 3.

During her visit, Priyanka is expected to interact with party workers and meet Congress representatives of Sonia Gandhi's constituency Rae Bareli.

Priyanka had earlier campaigned for Sonia in the 2004 and 1999 parliamentary elections.

Earlier on February 2, Sonia Gandhi inaugurated a rail coach factory in Rae Bareli.

Rahul Gandhi, who was also present on the occasion, had ensured that he was committed to the development of Amethi and Raebareli.

He had also listed the Congress achievements in the two constituencies which included the setting up of academic institutions, building of 800 km stretch of roads, cataract camps that cured 25,000 patients and the burgeoning chain of women self help groups which, he claimed, enjoyed a two lakh strong membership.
