Lucknow couple exchanges nuptial vows in mid air

Lucknow, Feb 28 (ANI): Dev Prashant and Archana of Lucknow exchanged their nuptial vows 100-feet above the ground level, in a first of its kind wedding in the city.

Love for adventure and a desire to make their wedding memorable drove the couple to marry in mid-air.

"The main purpose was to make our wedding memorable. So, we opted for hot air balloon," said Dev.

The couple garlanded each other inside the hot air balloon as the guests cheered on.

Recounting her experience of having a mid air wedding, the bride said, "I was not afraid. In fact, it felt really nice," said Archana.

Though the wedding was hailed by everybody, many of the guests felt said they would have also loved to have a mid air wedding like this.

"No doubt the wedding was really nice. We did not expect what we saw here. We had a great time and my only wish is that there should have been something like this at the time when I got married," said Ranjan Sharma, a guest.

Elaborate arrangements were made for the wedding including some amazing pyrotechnics, which left the guests dazzled. The entire 20-minute air ride cost a whopping rupees 80, 000 to the couple.

In a similar event, an adventure sports enthusiast had married her an expatriate software engineer 600-feet above the ground in a hot air balloon at Pune. By Kamna Mathur (ANI)
