Spears' father Jamie blasts her ex-manager Sam Lutfi

Washington, Feb 25 (ANI): Pop princess Britney Spears' father Jamie has blasted her ex-manager Sam Lutfi, accusing him of spiking the singer with drugs and ruining her life.

Jamie Spears, who has been the co-conservator of the singer's estate since January 2008, is seeking to make the temporary restraining order, against Lutfi and her ex-boyfriend Adnan Ghalib, permanent.

Spears' father told a court in Los Angeles that Lutfi was a "predator" who had given his daughter cookies laced with drugs, and that he had tried to "extort" the singer, and even fed lies about her custody case with ex-husband Kevin Federline, which led to her breakdown.

Jamie said that his daughter's life under Lutfi's management was a total disaster.

"When (Lutfi) was in so-called control, she'd lost everything - her kids and career," Contactmusic quoted him as saying.

"I believe he's a predator, I believe he's very dangerous to her... and causes her a lot of anguish and disbelief. We've asked him to go away before, and now he's coming back. We just want the man to go away. Just leave us alone," he stated.

As to the events that lead up to Spears being hospitalised in January last year, Jamie said that Lutfi had lied to her about keeping her kids.

"She was told by Lutfi she could have her children for another night. She didn't want to let her kids go because she thought she could have them for another night," he added.

The hearing is due to resume on February 25. (ANI)
