RLD ties up with BJP for 2009 elections
New Delhi, Feb 24 (ANI): Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) chief Ajit Singh has signed a pre-poll alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to wrap up a seat sharing deal for the forthcoming elections.
Lots of political development are expected ahead of the general elections in western Uttar Pradesh in the wake of this tie-up.
The RLD is likely to win seven seats in the western UP, as it has a very strong foothold here.
In last elections, Ajit Singh's party was in an alliance with the Samajwadi Party (SP), which has now grown close to the Congress. (ANI)
