Nicky Hilton places 'shoving' man under citizen's arrest

Melbourne, February 24 (ANI): Nicky Hilton placed a homeless man under citizen's arrest after he pushed her to the ground.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department spokesman Steve Whitmore confirmed the hotel heiress made the arrest at a West Hollywood International House of Pancakes at 5am.

Whitmore revealed 50-year-old Michael Broadhurst was subsequently arrested after he "came up behind Ms. Hilton and pushed her."

"She's OK, but she was desirous of prosecution. She said, 'I am placing you under citizen's arrest!'", the Courier Mail quoted Whitmore as telling Us magazine.

"It is my understanding that she is OK. A battery is just an unwanted touching," Whitmore added.

Broadhurst is due to appear in court on April 21. (ANI)
