Shoot-at-sight order against violent lawyers in TN
Chennai, Feb 21: Shoot-at-sight order have been issued by the Tamil Nadu Government against those trying to damage public property. The district SPs have been given the power by the DGP office to carry out the order. The order came in the wake of violent protests by the lawyers of Madras High Court in Tamil Nadu after a lawyer was arrested for attacking Janata Party leader, Subramanian Swamy.
"Some anti-social elements were using Thursday's incidents to damage public property and burn vehicles", a DGP Office release said.
The release also said that security has been beefed up in the city following the clashes between lawyers and Police.
