15yr-old US girl facing porn charges for 'sexting'

Washington, Feb 21 (ANI): An American girl is facing child pornography charges after she allegedly "sexted" nude pictures of herself over the Internet.

'Sexting' is a term used for the practice of sending nude or semi-nude pictures of oneself to others via cell phone or the Internet.

The 15-year-old girl from central Pennsylvania has been charged as a juvenile with possessing, distributing and creating child pornography, according to Clearfield County District Attorney William Shaw.

Authorities allege that the girl, who lives with her mother, sent the pictures to a 27-year-old man, with whom she communicated on the MySpace networking Web site.

Shaw has said that after the police found the images on the man's computer, he has also been charged with unlawful sexual activity, reports CBS News. (ANI)
