Schreiber to join Jolie in 'Salt'

Washington, February 19 (ANI): Liev Schreiber will join Angelina Jolie in the new spy film "Salt" for Columbia Pictures, according to reports.

The 'Scream' actor will play boss and friend to the thriller's title character Evelyn Salt, a CIA officer who is accused of being a Russian sleeper spy and must avoid being captured to establish her innocence.

Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Sunil Perkash are set to produce the film while Ric Kidney and Mark Vahradian play executive producers.

Oz director Phillip Noyce will start shooting next month in New York City, reports the Variety.

Schreiber also made his debut as a filmmaker and writer in 2005 with 'Everything Is Illuminated', based on the novel of the same name. (ANI)
