MAS attacks Maharashtra CM's chopper

Pune, Feb 19: Members of a local Maratha group called Maratha Aarakshan Samiti (MAS) attacked Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan's chopper on Thursday, Feb 19.

Samiti members demanded job reservations for Maharashtrians in the state. They also pelted stones at the CM's helicopter. To control the situation, protesters were canned by police.

Thought it was CM's chopper, CM Ashok Chavan was not present inside but Finance Minister Dilip Walse Patil was present inside.

It is said that CM was at Shivneri near Pune to attend a function on Shivaji Jayanti.
