Classmates kidnap, kill 17-yr-old in Mumbai

Mumbai, Feb 17: In a shocking incident a teenager was allegedly kidnapped and killed by his classmates in Mumbai. The 17-year-old Mukim Khan, a 12th student's body was recovered by the police on Tuesday, Feb 16 morning.

A commerce student of Rizvi College in Bandra area of Mumbai, Mukim was missing since Friday, Feb 13. Soon after that his family received a ransom call. His father is a well known landlord in the Khar-Bandra area.

Reports suggest that the Mumbai police has arrested one of Mukim's classmates, Amir into custody for kidnapping and killing Mukim. The teenager led the police to the spot where Mukim's body was dumped. Mukim's body was fished out of a drain in Vakola and was later taken to Cooper Hospital for postmortem.

Sarfaraz, who is also involved in the murder is missing.

The murder comes a little more than a year after the Adnan Patrawala case. Adan was kidnapped and killed by some of his friends he met through a social networking site. The murder which shocked the nation brought to limelight the grey world of internet social networking.
