Geo TV unearths 26/11 terrorists training camp
Islamabad, Feb 15: Geo TV, the Pakistani news channel has unearthed the training grounds of the terrorists who attacked Mumbai in Nov 2008. The news channel claims to have discovered the house and training ground that the ten terrorists who carried out the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, including Azam Amir Kasav aka Mohammed Ajmal Amir Iman used for training.
Reports suggest that the area were terrorists were trained is situated about 100 kilometers from India-Pakistan border. Geo TV traced the isolated building in Dori which could have been the training ground for the 26/11 attackers. The door is bolted at present, but inside there are unmistakable traces of people living.
Blankets and mattresses lie scattered while Islamic literature is stacked in order and in one corner a shelf full of medicines is stored. The newspapers lying on the floor on the floor with reports of the Mumbai carnage indicate the building was in use even during and after the attack.
Channel claimed that the terrorists asked the caretaker of the house to stay away. “I had been given some numbers. I did not speak to them, Mumtaz, the caretakes said. The people staying near by said that there were seven people in the house and they travelled in a motor launch.
Located just 40 kilometres away from Karachi, from where the terrorists sailed for Mumbai, Dori was a perfect launch pad for the 26/11 attackers.
Meanwhile, Lashkar-e-Toiba founder Zaki-ur-Rehman-Lakvi and 8 others were send by Anti-Terrorist Court (ATC) in Pakistan on 14 day-remand to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Lakhvi is alleged mastermind of the Mumbai terror strikes. The 8 accused were charged with planning, financing and abetting the Mumbai attacks.
