Satyam scandal: SFIO to quiz Raju

Hyderabad, Feb 14: To record the statement of Satyam's founder Ramalinga Raju, his brother Ramaraju and former CFO Srinivas Vadlamani in the Rs 7,800 crore financial fraud in the IT major, a team of Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) arrived in Hyderabad's central prison on Saturday, Feb 14.

The Sixth Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate granted permission to record the statements of the Raju brothers, Satyam's ex-CFO Vadlamani Srinivas and sacked PwC employees S Gopalkrishnan and Talluri Srinivas for two days which will begin on Feb 14.

The court in its order directed the SFIO to question Ramalinga Raju and others in the presence of their counsels in the Chanchalguda jail from 10 am to 5 pm. All the accused in the case are in judicial remand till February 21.
