Malaysia's PKR to field Indian candidate for Bukit Selambau seat
Malacca, Feb 10 (ANI): Malaysia's Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) party is likely to field an Indian candidate in the by-election for the Bukit Selambau seat in Kedah.
Talking to reporters, PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim said here that the seat in Kedah had been allotted to the party.
"We will field an Indian candidate," he added.
The Bukit Selambau seat was vacated after V. Arumugam resigned as Kedah executive council member.
However, Parti Islam se-Malaysia (PAS) left to decide on its candidate for the Bukit Gantang parliamentary contest in Perak.
The Bukit Gantang parliamentary seat fell vacant following death of Roslan Shaharum, The Star reported. (ANI)
