Al-Qaeda warns India in video

Islamabad, Feb 10: al Qaeda's military commander in Afghanistan, Mustafa Abu al-Yazid has sent video threats to India. This video which is in Arabic language was sent to the BBC in Islamabad. It has warned India saying " India will have to pay a heavy price if it tried to attack Pakistan".

According to BBC News reports, the al Qaeda has warned India of 'Mumbai style attacks' if it tries to attack Pakistan.

"The Mujahideen will send your armies into the ground, like they did to the Russians in Afghanistan.", Yazid said. Yazid was believed to have been killed in a US drone strike in August 2008.

Yazid is said to be ranked behind Ayman Al Zawahiri in the organisation. He also called upon the people of Pakistan to rise and overthrow the present government and president, BBC reported.

He had claimed that al Qaeda was responsible for the assassination of Benazir Bhutto last year.
