Airlines to hike fares in India
New Delhi, Feb 10: Reports suggest that all major airlines in India, including the low-cost carriers have withdrawn all promotional fares and increased basic fares between Rs 1800-2000 on several sectors from Tuesday, Feb 10.
Industry sources said that the airlines operators took the decision as the 'promotional fares' did not yield the necessary results. "We have discontinued our promotional fares as the response has not been very good, but people who have already bought tickets under the scheme will enjoy the benefit, Air India spokesperson informed media.
