Gary Glitter voted 'Britain's Most Hated Celebrity'

London, Feb 09 (ANI): Pop paedophile Gary Glitter has been voted 'Britain's Most Hated Celebrity' in a new survey.

In the poll, over 200,000 people joined 82 groups on Facebook dedicated to expressing dislike for the shamed glam rocker.

Sir Paul McCartney's ex-wife Heather Mills was named the second most reviled on the social networking site.

Over 160,000 joined 35 anti-Mucca groups, reports the Sun.

Rap DJ Tim Westwood came third, with 145,000 people in a group hating the BBC Radio 1 star.

Big Brother's Alexandra de Gale landed the fourth spot and Chelsea's Ashley Cole rounded off the top five.

The top five are:
