New Delhi, Feb 8 (ANI): Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who is undergoing treatment for a chest infection at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), is reported to be stable and making progress.

Dr. Sampath Kumar, the head of the Cardiac-Thoracic Vascular Sciences brushed off rumours regarding Vajpayee's ill health. Kumar confirmed that his condition has not deteriorated and also said that he has no fever.

The 84-year-old leader was admitted to AIIMS on February 3 with complaints of fever and chest congestion. It was later affirmed that he was suffering from a respiratory tract infection.
