New Delhi, Feb 6: The Mangalore Pub attack report prepared by the Nirmala Venkatesh, member of National Commission for Women (NCW) was rejected by Renuka Chaudhary, Women and Child Development Minister on Friday, Feb 6. The report that was prepared after visiting the site blamed security lapse for the incident.

"At a meeting in New Delhi today, the NCW took stock of the entire report filed by Venkatesh and decided not to accept it," the Commission chairperson Girija Vyas told news agencies.

The Commission will not be sending any fresh team to the spot on a fact-finding mission as an independent commission from the Women and Child Development Ministry has already visited.

Venkatesh had led a three-member team which visited Mangalore on a fact-finding mission after the attack on girls by Sri Ram Sene activists. The other members of the team comprised of a lawyer and a local NGO representative.
