Kingfisher cuts pilots' salary by Rs. 80,000
Mumbai, Feb. 6, (ANI): Private air-carrier Kingfisher Airlines on Friday cut its pilots' salaries by Rs. 80,000.
The salary package is mainly based on flying hours. The whole package has now been revised downwards to ensure parity with former Deccan pilots.
An airline official confirmed the pay-cut, saying it was the result of a move towards a productivity-linked compensation structure, which is the international norm.
The Kingfisher management, however, said that it was only implementing the Deccan-Kingfisher package structure in the post merger period.
Kingfisher Airlines is India's first and only Five Star Airline, which has 218 flights to 38 destinations. (ANI)
