Islamabad, Feb 4 (ANI): Pakistan Muslim League-N chief Nawaz Sharif today said that the struggle by the international community for world peace would be of no use until the Kashmir issue is resolved
He urged international community to play their effective role for devising a comprehensive strategy to ensure implementation of the UN resolutions on both major issues.
Sharif added that people of Pakistan and India yearn for peaceful relations and they had always been lauding and supporting the efforts of their leadership for bilateral peace.
In his message on Kashmir Solidarity Day, Sharif said that the resolution of Kashmir issue is inevitable for strong, durable and peaceful relations between Pakistan and India.
"Both Pakistan and India are atomic powers and peace in South Asia is fully dependent on the responsible attitude by the leadership of both the countries so both the states would have to adopt the suit of peaceful dialogue for resolution of Kashmir as well as other longstanding disputes between the two neighboring states," he said.
Sharif said the Kashmir is not just a dispute of land rather it relates to the provision of the rights of millions of innocent people and no law of land can resolve the issue without respecting the wishes of the Kashmiri people.
He said in current scenario, the fire of terrorism engulfs the world so it is essential to use all economic and military resources to settle all the issues, which have forced the people to take arms and begetting extremism.
"Be it the Kashmir issue or is the problem of Palestine, real factor is the non-acceptance of basic human rights of the natives of both territories," a Pakistan based news agency quoted Sharif, as saying. (ANI)
