Pak nuke weapons can fall into terrorists hands': IAEA chief

Lahore, Feb. 4 (ANI): International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) chief Muhammad El Baradei has said Pakistan's nuclear weapons can fall into the hands of terrorists due to the prevailing instability in that country.

According to the Daily Times, El Baradei expressed his fear over the security of nuclear weapons in Pakistan. He said that India and Israel should participate in every step taken for nuclear disarmament and the Indo-Pak nuclear issue could be resolved under the 'international framework'.

He urged the international community to remove sanctions on Iran, adding that Tehran was not in a position to make a nuclear weapon any time soon.

He observed serious loopholes in the US command and control system.

"Aircrafts carrying nuclear warheads passed over the US several times but nobody could detect them," he said. (ANI)
