Vajpayee hospitalised; condition stable

New Delhi, Feb 4: All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) sources said that the condition of former Prime Minister of India, Atal Behari Vajpayee, who was hospitalised due to chest infection is stable. Dr D K Sharma, Superintendent of AIIMS said, "His condition is stable and he is conscious.

Vajpayee was admitted on Tuesday, Feb 3 evening after he developed running temperature and from respiratory infection. He is under observation at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Dr Sharma added that the senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader is also suffering from hypertension and diabetes, which needs to be taken care of. Former PM's personal physician Dr Randeep Guleria is also present in the hospital.
