Rajesh Saxena, new CEO of American Express
Bangalore, Feb 3: American Express, global payment and travel company on Tuesday, Feb 3 appointed Rajesh Saxena as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for American Express Banking Corp. (AEBC), India. He was earlier with Citi Cards in Japan as sales and marketing head.
Arena of Saxena would include heading the country's executive team, directly managing the international consumer card and small business services, leading the company's marketing, acquisition, product development and insurance areas, the company said in a statement.
"In this role, Saxena would also spearhead several strategic and business development initiatives for the company while steering smooth collaboration across its diverse businesses in India," it said.
As sales and marketing head in Citi Cards, Japan, he had diverse responsibilities in all front office units including sales, marketing, partnership, merchants, corporate business and merchandising.
