EC meet to discuss general elections on Feb 3
New Delhi, Feb 3: Amidst the Election Commission creating a ugly row over CEC's recommendation for the removal of Election Commissioner Navin Chawla, it has called for an all-party meeting on Tuesday, Feb 3 to discuss about the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, 2009.
The general elections is scheduled to be held in April-May of this year. During the meeting, polls preparation and other measures to conduct peaceful elections would be discussed.
Forty seven political parties are expected to attend the meeting. CEC's N Gopalaswami, Navin Chawla, S Y Quraishi will be present. More details are awaited.
