3 killed as school bus collides with rail engine

Chandigarh, Feb 2: In a gruesome incident, three school children have been killed and 11 others are seriously injured when the school bus collided with a railway engine on Monday, Feb 2 morning.

The accident occurred in the Ferozpur district of Punjab. Unmanned railway crossing near Talvandi in Ferozpur, near Mehraj village would be reason for the heartrending accident.

Injured students have been rushed to the local hospital. The train engine was on its way from Moga to Ferozpur.

The accident happened at around 8.20 am this morning, Northern Railway chief PRO Rajiv Saxena told. More details are awaited.
