Mrs Obama bans daughters from mixing with celebs
Washington, Feb 1: In an attempt to forge a normal family life in the White House, America's First Lady Michelle Obama has banned celebrity socialising for her daughters Malia and Sasha.
Malia, 10, and Sasha, seven, met A-list stars on the night of their father U S president Barack Obama's inauguration ceremony.
The Jonas Brothers boy band made a surprise appearance in the White House as the girls explored their new home and their parents danced at the inauguration balls.
However, family friends have revealed that Michelle is 'trying to keep them grounded' and insisting on no special treatment as they begin their new lives in Washington, reports Us Weekly.
The decision means that the girls would not get to hang out with celebrities such as Beyonce, whom they were thrilled to meet during the campaign, according to their father.
Michelle will not be hiring a nanny as her mother, Marian Robinson, 71, has moved into the White House to help look after the two grandchildren on whom she is said to dote.
