Qureshi says Pak completes initial inquiry on Mumbai attacks
Islamabad, Jan. 30 (ANI): Pakistan's Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that Pakistan has completed its 'preliminary investigation' based on the information provided by India about the Mumbai terror attacks and Islamabad would share the findings with India and the world.
Talking to reporters here on Friday, after addressing an international conference on Hazrat Ghous Bahauddin Zakira at International Islamic University, Qureshi said, "The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) of the Interior Ministry of Pakistan has completed the preliminary investigation and sent it to the Law Department."
He said after the review by the Law Department, the report of the preliminary investigation will be received by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and then it will be shared with India and the international community.
"Pakistan has assured India and the world community that it is seriously making progress in the process of investigation of the Mumbai attacks and wants to bring the culprits to justice," The News quoted Qureshi as saying.
"Pakistan wants peace in the region and good relations with its neighbours," he said.(ANI)
