L&T posts 25.39 pc rise in Q3 results

Mumbai, Jan 30: Larsen & Toubro (L&T), engineering and construction giant, has seen a rise in the Profit After Tax (PAT) in Q3 results. It has posted 25.39 per cent growth at Rs 604.11 crore in the third quarter when compared with Rs 481.79 crore in the same period last year.

The net profit of the company has jumped to Rs 1,520.44 crore, up by 215.18 per cent and recorded an extra ordinary income of Rs 916.33 crore in the third quarter due to sale of its concrete business.

Total income has risen by 36.45 per cent to Rs 8,922.77 crore from Rs 6,539.41 crore.

The expenditure has increased by 37.65 per cent to Rs 7,835.74 crore in the Dec ended quarter. The company has paid Rs 307.27 crore as tax in the same period.
