Muthalik, Rama Sena chief granted bail
Mangalore, Jan 28: Pramod Muthalik, Rashtriya Hindu Sena (parent body of Rama Sena) President has been granted bail by a court on Wednesday, Jan 28. He was arrested in Belgaum case for inciting disharmony.
Around 20 to 25 activists of Sri Rama Sena organisation barged in a pub, Amnesia in Mangalore on Saturday, Jan 24 and beat up women in the pub accusing them of behaving in an obscene manner and going against Indian culture and tradition.
Reacting strongly, Union Women and Child Development Minister Renuka Chowdhury on Monday, Jan 26 termed the act as an attempt to talibanise India.
BJP termed the incident as act of hooliganism and came down heavily on the political opponents, who are levelling allegations against the party of supporting the incident.
