Michelle Obama puts off events until daughters settle in new city

Chicago, January 28 (ANI): U.S. First Lady Michelle Obama's office has revealed that she has decided to put off public appearances until her daughters, Malia and Sasha, are settled in their new city.

She is also crafting her longer-term portfolio, and figuring out how to make the White House more accessible to the public.

Michelle's mother Marian Robinson is also said to have moved into the White House to help the Obama family look after their children, reports the Chicago Sun Times.

It has also emerged the Jonas Brothers' surprise White House visit last week was the exception for Malia and Sasha, and that it will not be the rule.

Most Washingtonians who have come into contact with the girls have respected the privacy that their parents have requested, especially at Sidwell Friends, the school the girls attend. (ANI)
