LeT commander Abu Hamza killed in Sopore
Srinagar, Jan 28: Abu Hamza, the Lashkar-e-Toiba's (LeT) Baramulla commander was reportedly killed by the Indian army in the Amargadh area of Sopore on Wednesday, Jan 28. Jammu Kashmir Police said that the encounter is still on.
The main LeT operative in North Kashmir, Abu Hamza is in the most-wanted list of the Indian security forces. Sources said that he was the mastermind behind numerous attacks on the army and across India, including Mumbai Terror Attacks of 26/11. Reports suggest that three jawans are injured in the fierce encounter, of which one person is in critical condition.
Kashmir Hamza was reportedly hiding in a house in Sopore. Security forces also killed one militant in Barkara. The encounter which was launched on Tuesday, Jan 27 evening 4 pm. DGP of Jammu, Kuldeep Koda said that three joint operation all in North Kashmir is still on.
