Indian saved from a wrecked plane after 6 hrs

Kuala Lumpur, Jan 28: Sanjay Purushottam, 40 had a miraculous escape when he was saved from this wrecked plane six hours after a crash in the Gunung Pulai forest reserve in Malaysia.

The senior bank employee spotted by Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) was found trapped in the two-seater cessna with a right leg fractured and right eye bruised.

His plane was found nose down with the tail lodged in the branches of a tree, The Star newspaper said Wednesday, Jan 28.

Paramedics treated him on site until he was airlifted. Sanjay was treated at the Sultanah Aminah Hospital and was later transferred to Singapore's Mount Elizabeth Hospital.

Sanjay's plane, believed to be from the Elite Flying Club, went missing after taking off from Senai airport at around 9.40 am Monday, Jan 26 while heading for the Batu Berendam airport in Malacca.
