Musharraf's camp office spent Rs.161.41 million in six years
Islamabad, Jan 27 (ANI): Pakistan's former President Pervez Musharraf's camp office spent Rs.161.41 million from September 2, 2002 till his resignation in 2008, said the minister in charge of the President's Secretariat.
Musharraf was using a building adjacent to the Army House in Rawalpindi for the purpose, the Daily Times reported.
The former president is still using the Army House as his residence, the minister told the National Assembly in writing on Monday during the Question Hour.
The Public Works Department spent Rs.141.9 million on the maintenance of the building, Rs.3.4 million on monthly bills and Rs.9.02 million on purchase of physical assets during the period.
Another Rs.6.9 million were spent on telephone bills in an expense titled "President's personal".
Musharraf spent Rs.156.8 million during 2007-08, Rs.140.85 million in 2006-07, Rs.117.63 million in 2005-06, Rs.90.32 million in 2004-05, Rs.80.74 million in 2003-04 and Rs.58.92 million in 2002-03.
The Interior Ministry informed the House that there are 2,924 persons on the Exit Control List, but declined to reveal names and addresses saying they were confidential. (ANI)
