19-year-old student shot dead in Ghaziabad

Ghaziabad, Jan 25: Abishek, a student of K N Inter College, Loni was shot dead after two groups of students fired at each other in a college at Sahibabad on Saturday,Jan 24. Police said that the incident took place around 12.30 pm at the Lala Lajpat Rai Post Graduate College.

19-year-old Abishek visited the Lala Lajpat Rai College with a group of students to enquire about its academic programmes. S P Singh, the Ghaziabad Circle Officer said, "In the meantime, five students led by Kuldeep clashed with Abhishek's group. About six shots were fired in which Abhishek sustained a gunshot injury in his head through his left eye."

The boy was rushed to Narendra Mohan Hospital, from where he was referred to the Fortis Hospital at Noida. But later succumbed to his injuries there. Police have arrested three people Kuldeep, Johney and Virendra in connection with the incident. They have registered a case against two students of Lala Lajpat Rai College who are absconding.
