Having anagered India, Miliband goes soft on China
London, Jan.23 (ANI): British Foreign Secretary David Miliband has already ruffled India with his comments on Kashmir, and also his attempt to link the resolution of the Kashmir dispute to the ending of the terror menace in South Asia, but that diplomatic disaster, has not stopped him from cozying up to China.
According to The Independent, Miliband was clearly on best behaviour when he arrived in Manchester to lunch with leading members of the Chinese community.
Miliband said that Britain and China had common cause in the trade which would help the world out of recession, in fighting climate change and in working together as members of the UN Security Council.
Miliband rounded off the day with a visit to Cedar Mount High School, which has an exchange programme with China.
He was joined by the Manchester United manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, to talk about the school's other exchange scheme to Africa, where United players are Unicef ambassadors. (ANI)
