NY Governor wants time to think about Hillary Clinton's Senate replacement
Washington, Jan.21 (ANI): New York Governor David Paterson has said that he wants more time to think about it who will replace Hillary Clinton in Senate from his state.
According to the New York Daily News, Paterson has finally zeroed in on a candidate to replace ry Clinton in the U.S. Senate, but wants to mull it over a few more days.
Sources close to Paterson say they believe Caroline Kennedy is still the frontrunner despite the fact the governor has recently been talking up Representative Kirsten Gillibrand (D-Hudson).
"I have a good idea now which direction I want to go," said Paterson, who was in Washington for President Obama's inauguration.
Despite the national anticipation, Paterson said he would wait a few more days before making an announcement.
Spokespeople for several candidates, including Kennedy, said they haven't heard anything about who the governor will choose. (ANI)
