TCS to assist Ducati in Asset management

Mumbai, Jan 20: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) on Tuesday, Jan 20 signed a multi-million dollar contract with Ducati Motor Holding. TCS will assist Ducati in better asset management and to improve business efficiency.

Ramadorai, TCS CEO and MD said, "We have entered into a strategic partnership with Ducati to offer our technology services to the bike maker." He added that TCS would implement Enterprise Resource Planning for Ducati and its subsidiaries in the first step.

The aim of the project is to improve Supply Chain Management, specially in the areas of forcasts, inventory levels and optimised production plans and overall reduced logistics costs. Gabriele Del Torchip, the Ducati CEO and President said that the patnership will help Ducati in improving the customer responsiveness and business efficiency.

"With TCS as its tech partner, Ducati's ability to respond to customers and react to the evolving business environment will increase and help them to effectively use TCS' talent and expertise to boost their presence globally," Ramadorai added.
