Pak lawyers attack Attorney General
Rawalpindi, Jan 19 (ANI): A group of Pakistani lawyers who had come to receive deposed Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry at the Benazir International Airport attacked the motorcade of Attorney General Sardar Latif Khosa immediately after the latter came out lounge en route to Islamabad.
The deposed Chief Justice and Khosa arrived at the airport in the same flight.
The lawyers gave warm welcome to the deposed CJ, shouting slogans in his favour and showering rose petals on his car.
The Punjab Government also provided him official protocol, the Daily Times reported.
When the lawyers saw Khosa's car coming from VIP Lounge, they threw shoes and hit it with fists. Security staff managed to push them back and make sure that Khosa goes out of the airport unhurt.
Interestingly, the lawyers who attacked Sardar Khosa had to come home bare-footed as some of them lost their shoes in the impulsive assault on a man whom they don't like. (ANI)
