Washington, Jan 19: United States of America on Tuesday, Jan 20 will witness its 44th President, Barack Obama take charge. Following foot steps of Abraham Lincoln, Obama started his speech titled 'We Are One' in the 56th inaugural concert held in Washington.
The Obamas and Vice-president-elect Joe Biden and his wife enjoyed a star-studded concert including performances by Beyonce, Bono and Bruce Springsteen. The 56th concert also had speeches of Jamie Foxx, Martin Luther King the third, Queen Latifah and Denzel Washington.
The concert has marked the beginning of a series of inauguration-related events across the US.
"I would want to thank all the speakers and performers today for reminding us through songs and through words what it is we love about America. Welcome to Washington and welcome to the celebration of American renewal," Obama said at the concert.
