Today is the most accident-prone day for motorists in the year

London, Jan 18 (ANI): Today is the worst day of the year for motorists, according to a new study.

A survey based on drivers' insurance claims that bad weather and less daylight traditionally make January a more dangerous time to be on the road.

The research of claims received by insurer esure has shown that motorists are almost twice as likely to have an accident in January compared with the rest of the year, reports the Scotsman.

On January 18, the firm receives more claims for accidents than on any other day.

Esure's Mike Pickard said: "Winter is a notoriously bad time for motorists." (ANI)
