Gilani sends greetings to Manmohan
Islamabad, Jan.16 (ANI): Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has written a new year greeting letter to his Indian counterpart Manmohan Singh and told him that his government has formally informed India about the steps taken in response to the international community's demands in connection with Mumbai attacks.
According to The News, Pakistan's Foreign Secretary Salmna Bashir handed over the letter to Indian high commissioner Satyabrata Pal in a meeting.
According to a statement of Foreign Ministry, the Foreign Secretary also provided the details of the steps and measures taken by Pakistan government in connection with Mumbai carnage in response to the calls of international community.
The Foreign Secretary told the Indian diplomat that Pakistan government has initiated proper investigation into the Mumbai attacks. He said it is essential that both the countries move along together in countering the scourge of terrorism. (ANI)
