Gilani sends New Year greeting 'dove' to Manmohan Singh
Islamabad, Jan.15 (ANI): In response to the Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's New Year greetings to Pakistan, the Pak PM has also sent good wishes to India, The Dawn reported.
"May the New Year bring peace to our region, and progress, and prosperity to our people," the New Year message from the Pakistani Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani said.
Gilani thanked Manmohan Singh for his gesture and said, "The leadership and people of Pakistan desire friendly and co-operative relationship with India."
The exchange of pleasantries between the leadership of the two countries is seen as a positive move amidst escalating tension, even as the thaw in the relationship between the two neighbouring countries continues. (ANI)
