Pak playing flip-flops in 26/11 case: Pranab
New Delhi, Jan 8: Pakistan is continuing to be recalcitrant in bringing the perpetrators of the Mumbai terror attacks to justice, said External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee. He criticised Pakistan govt for playing flip-flops in the 26/11 case. Pakistan has rejected the evidence provided by India within 24 hours after Mumbai attacks, but still Pak is not accepting the credible facts given to them, Pranab opined.
He said, this attitude of Pak irks India. Referring to the confession by Mohammed Azmal Amir Iman Kasav, the lone terrorist arrested after 26/11, he said that Kasav had clearly told India where he comes from and where his handlers are located.
"They (Pakistan) say something and they do just the opposite. They constantly from day one have been in a denial mode," said Mukherjee. He asked the authorities of Pakistan to study the report of evidence given by India before rejecting the evidence given by India. Mukherjee said that India expected Pakistan to hand over "this information" to their investigating agencies to conduct probe.
"It is the job of investigating agencies to probe about the information which we have handed over to political authorities in Pakistan," Pranab added.
