'India gives 26/11 attack evidence to Pak'

New Delhi, Jan 5: Pranab Mukherjee, the Union External Affairs Minister said that India has given the neighbouring Pakistan evidence about the involvement of Pak-based elements in the Nov 26 Mumbai terror attacks. "What happened in Mumbai is an unpardonable crime. We ask Pakistan to implement bilateral commitments it has given at the highest levels," Mukherjee said in New Delhi on Monday, Jan 5.

Shivshankar Menon, the Foreign Secretary summoned Shahid Malik, the Pakistan High Commissioner and handed over the evidence. Pranab also said that the evidence were shared with some other countries too. The heads of Foreign missions will be briefed on the Mumbai attacks in the next 24 hours.

Sources said that New Delhi has called the heads of missions from important nations for another meet scheduled on Tuesday, Jan 6. Pranab Mukherjee added that he has written to his counterparts in many nations giving details of the events occured in Mumbai and evidence that has been collected.
