FBI in Faridkot to probe about Kasav

Islamabad, Jan 1: Reports suggest that a team of Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) officials visited Faridkot in Pakistan's Punjab province. The FBI Officials visited the village on Wednesday, Dec 31 late night to probe about Azam Amir Kasav aka Ajmal Amir Iman, the only terrorist caught alive after Mumbai terror attacks.

Kasav during interrogation have told Indian officials that he hails from Faridkot of Pakistan. Geo TV reported that the five member team of FBI was lead by William RObert, its South Asian Director. Channel further said that the purpose of FBI team's visit was to investigate about Kasav. But Geo TV now claims that FBI team has found no evidence in the village.

Kasav's father had recently acknowledged that the gunman whose picture is shown in all media is his son Iman to English daily The Observer and Pakistan's Dawn newspaper. Earlier the Faridkot villagers also claimed that Kasav belong to this are to the Pak media. They said that Kasav during his last visit told to his mother that he is going for 'Jihad'. However Pakistan officially continue to deny and said that India had plotted the story of Kasav being a Pakistani.
