Vacationing Obama offers tailing press shaved ice

Washington, December 28 (ANI): President-elect Barack Obama recently spoke to reporters while holidaying in Hawaii - to offer them shaved ice.

The first African-American to be elected President of the United States was said to have been "largely ignoring" the media ever since his arrival, reports Politico.com.

The former junior Senator from Illinois had left with daughters Malia, aged 10, and Sasha, aged 7, to head for Sea Life Park, a marine amusement park.

After walking to Kokonuts Shave Ice and Snacks with his younger daughter, he offered the fruit-flavoured dessert to reporters, who declined his offer.

He said: "Guys, here's your chance. No? I'm telling you, this is really good."

"I don't think this is against policy. You want one, I can tell." (ANI)
