Suicide blast kills five in Sri Lanka

Colombo, Dec 28: on Sunday, Dec 28 a suicide bomb blast killed atleast 5 people in Sri Lanka. Suicide blast reportedly by the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam aka LTTE occured near the civil defence post outside a church.

A Sri Lankan Defence official told to sources that a LTTE suicide bomber exploded himself close to St Ann's Catholic Church, at Hekitta in Wattala area of northern Colombo. The injured are rushed to Colombo National Hospital and the adjoining Ragama Hospital. Official sources said that the condition of two injured are critical. After the blast Lankan army took control of the area.
